If you're in need of a garage door opener but you don't want to dish out hundreds of dollars, this one is a cheap alternative. We installed 2 of these in an apartment building and they have held up for a few years now with no problems.

These garage door openers are very cheap compared to other garage door openers.  The reason for the price difference is that this is the base model by Chamberlain.  They are a little noisier than other garage door openers, but that's really the only problem I've experienced.  When I say "noisy" I don't mean loud enough to wake up your neighbors in the middle of the night.  They are just loud enough that you can obviously tell a garage door is opening.  If noise is an issue you can check out Chamberlain's belt drive garage door openers for about $40 more.

As I said in the intro, we purchased 2 of these garage door openers and installed them on an old garage for an apartment building about 4 years ago.  We haven't had any problems with the openers.  They are obviously a value series, but you can't beat them for the price and the convenience they add.  There are plenty of other different garage door openers out there, but if you want a cheap, good working opener – you've found it.
